Sunrise & Sunset tour day tour

Ayers Rock - day 1 (26-July 2006 Wed) Sunny - hot hot 22C

Ayers Rock - sitting at the heart of the continent, Uluru (Ayers Rock) is one of the largest monoliths in the world, made of arkosic sandstone, rises 348 meters above the desert floor and
has a circumference of 9.4 km. My first seight to Ayers Rock from the plane was really an extraordinary natural enviroment.

In the morning & at night, it was very cold. I had to wear my down jacket during the time.(3C) But in the afternoon(22-27C), I can only wear a T- shirt and shorts - crazy!

Uluru Sunrise

At 6:15 am picked up by the tour to the sunrise viewing area at the eastern end of Uluru and watch the first sunlight of the day creep across the desert plains. We arrived the viewing area still dark.  It was very cold and all of the people were waiting for the first sunlight.   Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuts as the morning sun slowly changes the colour of Uluru.  At the very begining, it was a bit darker, then become lighter and brighter. It is coming....

At aoubt 7:26am, it was wonderfully when the sunlight came across the desert plains. All of the people, me too, cann't stop to take photos and keep an eyes on its colour changing!  Dark, Dark brown, brown, then  red...
woo...
It was really very difficult for us to select to watch it or take photos.  Watching sunrise in the cool morning air is the perfect start to the day.

Uluru base and Sunset
At 2:55 pm picked up by the tour to visit the Uluru - Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre and then travel to the base of Uluru. View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the area. Continue around the base of Ulurn and see numerous sacred sites and features of this fascinating rock formation.

At about 5:00 pm we went to the Uluru sunset viewing area. " Cheers " We all enjoyed nibbles and a glass of wine as the sun sinks over the western horizon and the evening shy brings out many shades of colour. The whole area full of the happy and enjoyable sounds.  Everyone enjoys the atmosphere over there even don't know each other!

At about 6:20 pm, it was as same as in the morning, the rock changing its colours, red, brown, darkbrown, darker and darker, woo.. .
what should I do....?? I really can not capture the gradual colour changes of the rock.

You'll be amazed at the colour changing variety of the scenery and its natural beauty.

One more ride, cheers again...

Ayers Rock - Outback

P.S.
Sounds of slience dinner

A bit disapointed could not join this activities due to it is a very hot tour and have to make reservations 2-3 months before and also the cost is very high. (AU$145.00 per adult)
I had an experience at night when I looked up to the sky at outback, million stars in the night sky!!
Imaginating that dine under the stars and sip on a cool drink with someone special!!

I am loving it! Romance!!

3 years ago, there has the free suttle bus from the hotel / outback to and from the airport, please make sure you have to make theappointment with your hotel.   Have a nice trip!!
