Cairns - Green Island & Great Barrier Reef Adventure

Moring tea and coffee served until depature. At 8:30 am, departure to Green Island. It took about 45 minutes to the Green Island. Crews were nice and polite.

Green island - is a very small (12 hectares or 29 acres) island surrounded by beautiful coral gardens and is the only coral cay in the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest growing on it!

We took 40 minutes to walk to the rainforest park. After that, the kids went to the beautiful beach to go to swimming, playing, building sand castles and viewing coral...

At 11:20 am, board vessel to the Great Barrier Reef. Again, cakes, Tea and coffee served until depature. It took an hour to the pontoon.

At 12:30 noon, arrive at the Great Barrier Reef pontoon. We enjoyed free time and activities on pontoon.

Coral reef viewing from semi-submersible is a very hot activities on the pontoon. It has 3 round so that every one can take this activities. When I was in the semi-submersible, there were lots of fishes swimming by the ship. They were big and large. After that the coral appear in our eyes.
The colour not as similar as the we excepted and saw in the photos, but it is o.k. May be it is not deep enough to view their beautiful colours.

Snorkeling and diving are also hot activities, we can view the coral over and under the sea at a short distance from the pontoon.

We had our hot and cold lunch buffet at 1:00 pm on the pontoon.
At 5:30 pm we were arrived Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal with a happy and tried body.

We had a seafood dinner at night. It's a bit expensive, total AUS$ 300.00 something for nine person. The young guides did not full from the dinner, because they did not have any rice. They decided to take the noodles with beef and ham by their own while they were back to the CBH.

Tomorrow we are going the take the Rafting  at Barron River in the afternoon.   I am very excited for this issue.
