Cairns - Scenic Railway Kuranda / Skyrail , Rainforestaion Naure Park, Rustys market

Scenic Railway - Kuranda

Hotal picked up and transfered to Freshwater Station to check in. Freshwater station inudes a museum, with an interactive educational display, and a genuine railway worker's cottage, equipped with a theatrette showing a fascinationg view of the Kuranda Scenic Railway story.

There are two rides per day from Cairns station , Freshwater Station to Kuranda Station.
It took about 1 hour 20 minutes from Freshwater station to Kuranda Station.

We took many photos though our journey to Kuranda. Barron Falls, spectacular views over Cairns.

Skyrail

Skyrail - 7.5 kilometre cableway, the towers were lifted into place by helicoptor. The Red Peak Station at 545 metres is the highest point on the cableway.

We took about 1 1/2 hours each way on Skyrail. This allows time to explore Red Peak And Barron Falls rainforest Stations.

Kuranda Station

Arrived the Kuranda Railway station, we took a walk path in the rainforest for an hour. After that we back to the fascinating village to have our picnic lunch. At 1:15 pm, we transfered by the coach to the Army Duck ( 水陸兩用軍車 ) and wildlife park.

The guide explained the wildlife and there has Kangaroo, Koala, croco...many many others.
The Army duck rode on the land, after 1o minutes rode, it took us into the water and the guide showed us the plants in the rainforest. 雖然我很用心去聽，但仍然不知他說什麼, 因為有些動、植物的英文名字都未學過!!

太專業 .

At 3:30 pm board skyrail for our journey to the way back to Tjapukai Cultural Park and coach transfered back to our accommodation at 4:40pm.

Rusty's Market

Rusty's Market

We made our way to Rusty's Market. As it will close at 6:00 pm. We brought some fruit here, pineapple, strawberries, melons and apples... , but the fruit not as fresh as we brought from the supermarkets'.

We were dinning out in a Chinese restaurant tonight in Cairns city. The young guide took more then enough.

中餐好味道, 來咗近三個星期, 我好像都無吃飯呢樣嘢, 還有他們, 咁大家就食多碗飯啦!
我哋 order 咗隻水晶蟹, 都算係貴價, 盛惠195.00 澳元一隻!!

Tomorrow we are going to Brisbane by domestic freight at 6:00 am.

後記: 因為隻水晶蟹貴價, 我哋唯有 order 其他食物做團餐, 盛惠每人25.00 澳元!!

第 二組的家人在 Brisbane 集合. 晚上收到通知因為香港打風, 機場所有班機取消, 原訂的航班要 delay 明天早上 (8月5日7:30am. ) 最後 delay 到 11:45 am. 才出發, 我哋就係 Brisbane 等佢哋等到晚上12:30 pm. 真係人算不如天算!!
