Cairns - day 2

30 July 2006 (Sunday - Sunny & hot 27C)

Cairns - Cape Tribulation, 4WD vehilce, Daintree River Wilderness Cruise day tour

I was picked up by the tour at 6:55 am in the morning. There were total 14 crews in our team. Our team member included a nice and funny gentleman who is came from Italy with his wife. He made funs with us during our trip. His wife, - Jenny, agreed that but sometimes she had to ask him " stop "!! I really enjoy this trip with this nice and funny gentleman.

A pretty young lady who is 13 from UK with her grandfather and grandmother. We called her Miss U.K. I really love her smiling face.

It took about 4 hours rode from Cairns to Cape Tribulation. On the way to it, we spent some times to different visiting points.

Daintree River Wilderness Cruise - we took a light refreshments here as well as waiting for the cruise. On the Cruise, results in the sighting of birds, Estiarine Crocodiles basking on the banks. Along two river sides, an abundance of plant - many kinds of mango trees can be found here and animal life co-existing in a relatively stable complex ecosystem.

Mossman Gorge - a clam and beautiful river view.

Daintree Rainforest Walk - The Daintree Rainforest no exception and have recently been given World Heritage status. Our experience guide gave a full interpreation of this rainforest and expand on the geographical and historical features of the region.

Delicious lunch at a beautiful location - A very nice Garden view with fried fish, beef, chicken, salads, fruit, cake, fresh bread, cheese, margarine and fruit juice for lunch. I took more than enough.

River crossing by Cable Barge - we were all interesing in our 4WD couch crossing the river by Cable Barge.

Alexandra Range Lookout - we kept on rode to Alexandra Range lookout here and we can find a wonderful coastal region in front of us.

Cape Tribulation - Cape Tribulation beach, here you can swim in crystal clear waters, but nobody took his swimming suit.

On the way back to Cairns, we can see a lots of sugar canes field along the highway. It was the harvesting time, lots of the sugar canes were put into the train transfering to the factory to make the sugar cane milk. Life is not easy!!

We were back to Cairns at about 6:30 pm. It was Sunday, most of the shop closed at 5:00 pm. I had no food to eat due to yesterday the supermarket already closed and so as today. Therefore, I can only take the food from a 24 hours opened shop.

Tomorrow, I am going to take a city tour around the Cairns city.
